Kept big sis away from him, quarantined adults as they got sick, and nursed as much as I could (I don't produce much milk). And blind luck, I'm sure.

It is also a little harder for a newborn to catch respiratory stuff due to their tiny nasal passages!

Actually, it's not. This year's flu shot is closer to 60% in effectiveness, which is higher than in past years.


“Acshully” it is. 60% is laughable but regardless all anyone cares about is this year’s strain of influenza A which is precisely 0% effective.

Why not?

Because your preschooler might not get into Harvard if they miss a few weeks of school?

I have 4 kids, and I absolutely kept my preschooler home for a few weeks when the flu was peaking in our area and we had a newborn at home.
