Cost of Alterations

$81 was a steal. Taking in a waist is moderately complicated, and the average hack tailor working at a dry cleaner can’t handle it. Hemming is usually $25 or $35 a pair. I consider your price very cheap for a complicated item.

Agree.

Peolle should take a sewing class at Joann's then come back and tell us if she paid to much.

She got a steal.

Where can I go to have skilled alterations done expensively? I am actually happy to pay a lot, because I can and I fully respect the work, but I don’t know where to go. My dry cleaner can hem pants but anything else gets bungled.

A tailor. Google "Tailor near me." Ask around what tailor people use.

I’ve given up asking to get the waist of jeans taken in. No one seems to do it correctly
