Your BMI is normal. Why are you on a weight loss drug? |
I could have written you post and I am also 5’2 and 157 and perimenopausal. I went back on Wegovy and only lost 5 lbs after 5 months. Dr switched me to Zepbound. Still havent lost a pound after 6 weeks but I am on the beginner dosage. Hoping that at a higher dose I will. |
It’s not normal! It’s solidly overweight. Normal would be 20lbs lighter. |
This is what it is. You aren't getting the same dose you got before because compounding isn't at all reliable. Whether you used the same pharmacy before or not. My doctor says compounded semaglutide is not safe. If you do "not qualify" -- maybe you shouldn't be on it and on here complaining how you have not lost "10lbs almost immediately." |
You are older and for a lot of people with age comes difficulty losing weight. It does not mean it will not happen. If you are eating less it will eventually lead to weight loss. And, the good news is the weight loss might “stick” a little better. People who suddenly lose weight often regain it. |
Another one here, I took Wegovy for almost a year, lost 52 pounds, gained back 35 before I went back on. This tume I'm losing much slower, even though I'm on the highest dose. My doc won't let me stay on once I get to whatever weight they've decided I should be at, which means I see a lifetime of cycling on and off this drug, since doc won't let me stay on a maintenance dose 😡 |
What is the reasoning for that? It doesn't make sense! If you take a drug to manage a condition, you should stay on that drug. |
I definitely should be on it. I don't want to approach older years overweight with pounds piling on and on. It's not logical to wait for aging women to get obese if you could prevent that in the first place. |
It took me weeks to lose my first pound on wegovy. Have lost 15 lbs in six + months. |
I am 5'6" and 155 is right on the line of overweight. At 5'2", it is closer to obese than a healthy weight. |
From what I heard, it affects everyone very differently. |
