They apparently have afterschool programs that they are building off of. The curriculum discussion was a few years ago at BOE.

The school is located in Germantown. I have a feeling some parents may be interested in staying out of the public middle schools there.

it's over communication on things that don't matter as much and none in areas that do. Did they think that by advertising everyone would go to charter?

What special programs? My kid is in a lottery magnet in 6th and our school never communicated this. Not that I would prefer a brand new charter school over our current magnet school.

How does that work? Is it that they do not follow anything MCPS does, but they get funded by the county? Do they have state level testing, MAP testing and the usual stuff that MCPS does? Whom do they report to?

How is that enough if it is something new? When my kid was in ES, we got more than on email about the lottery choice programs, their open houses. I don't remember getting any of that about this school.
