He is on Twitter threatening to cut off specific payments to organizations he personally thinks shouldn’t receive them.

Sounds good to me. A lot of waste in government spending.

That’s not how our constitution works moron

Take that up with Congress. Elon just can't unilaterally defund random projects that have veen appropriated for by Congress.

DP. So you see the justification for getting rid of USAID then. Glad we agree.

USAID is authorized by Congress.

I’m shocked you didn’t learn why that might be a bad thing during your SpaceX internship.

(b) Agency Heads shall take all necessary steps, in coordination with the USDS Administrator and to the maximum extent consistent with law, to ensure USDS has full and prompt access to all unclassified agency records, software systems, and IT systems. USDS shall adhere to rigorous data protection standards.

Isn't this what is giving them access to OPM, Treasury, and GSA systems?

Access to Treasury systems should be absolutely frightening to everyone.

Would you need first need a lawsuit filed because an injunction? Accessing to the govt IT systems is a national security threat so there's an urgency.

Can someone please share what he’s saying about this? I really don’t want to support X in any way by going on it. Thanks.

Honestly, they think they are cutting off "fraudulent contractors," but in reality they are cutting of payments which have been provided for work done for the USG under contract. All contracts have provisions to have notice of problems and use approved mechanisms to suspend payments. There will doubtless be many, many lawsuits in which these plaintiffs will prevail and cost the USG multiples of what it would have cost to just take the time to do things properly.

For example, I am begging the Lutheran Services orgs mentioned in the X tweets to sue Elon Musk and Flynn for defamation -- saying that they are money-laundering operation. I hope Musk and Flynn are tied up in litigation and bankrupted just like Giuliani was by those election workers he defamed and that Musk has to pay a Fox News-sized settlement like Murdoch did to the Dominion Voting company.

Plus, suits of Musk directly will mean discovery on his communications, which I'm sure are wildly incriminating.

+1 million to this.

Yes. An injunction is one possible remedy a plaintiff can seek when filing a lawsuit.
