I think I might use a different definition of type A.
My recent RMIB grad is very type A in the sense of hyper focused on ehat needs to be done and how to get it done. But not at all competitive — very collaborative. I think that was true for most kids there. But I have another kid that is type B in the lake back sense of “oh, I’m sure that will get done somehow. Or not.” That would not be a good fit for RMIB, I think. |
A comic book and graphic novel are not the same, though there are comic series with advance writing and graphics. |
I have an older kid who is the type A that PP describes and a younger one who got in last year who is the second type and strongly advised this child against RMIB based on experience with older child. Older child did well but it required them to be constantly "on" and we worried type B kid who is quite organized but more laid back would not be like that and it would make this child stressed out for the first time. |
