We don't care about DEI anymore, PP, didn't you know?

IEP and DEI are completely different and unrelated. IEP is about special education of disabled children.

Normally no..but read the DEI Executive Order…it includes “accessibility” which in some agencies at least is being interpreted as anything disability related….(which is why federal disability related websites are being taken down)

Yup it is DEIA the A is for accessibility and they mean disability accommodations (many which are protected by law but with this admin, they don’t really care).

Nice try connecting disability accommodations with DEI in an effort to rally support for DEI. Disability accommodations will remain unchanged, but DEI is being replaced. Don’t worry, though—from here on it's MEI: Merit, Excellence, and Intelligence, which focuses on recognizing individual achievements and hard work rather than ethnicity. Everyone will be expected to put in the effort.

I don't want merit based. We want DEI representation at TJ! (Oh wait, there is a thread on this... my bad.)

I didn’t connect it, the Trump
Admin literally put it in their order.
