I almost always have string cheese, crackers, fruit snacks, granola bars, pretzels, fresh fruit, baby carrots, popsicles, pizza, vegetarian "chicken" nuggets, and some kind of trail mix/snack mix.

Yuck. Those items are so unhealthy! How about trying some real food like oranges, apples, brie with baguette, yoghurt with home made jams?

Oh gee. That sounds fun. I bet all the teens in your neighborhood can’t wait to hang out at your house! 🥹

DP and we generally have plenty of additional options, but that stuff gets devoured by the teens/tweens at our house, too.

I think I'd go for some frozen junky food in the freezer. Ask your DD. A quick way to make baked goods could be good too. Think those bags of cookie mix you only add water to (I personally don't love these, but teens might).

Also, don't let a snotty teen ruin your life. It's ok to say "well this is what we have, deal!" and move on.

Op here, thanks all! She actually didn’t have an obnoxious tone, she was joking around, but it was the first time I heard of an ingredient house and it madd me wonder what other people stock up specially for friends.

Appreciate all the ideas!

Your snacks sound kind of childish. What 17 year old is eating packaged rice crispie treats?

Fresh fruit, organic cheeses, cut up veggies with some kind of dip (tzatziki, for example), yogurts, cottage cheese, eggs, etc.

Oh yeah, these teens are just itching to come over to my house so they can get some of those eggs we always have on hand.

OP your snacks are fine. I also like to keep frozen easy things in the freezer that kids can heat up in the oven for an easy lunch. So, pizza, tater tots (organic) and various types of chicken nuggets (veggie, real chicken).
