| My spouse and I got each other big events for our 50th. For mine we took a trip to Austria, and he gave ne a pretty but not extravagant necklace. For his we went to Minibar. I think I got him AirPods and fancy chocolates too. (Ok, mine was a bigger event gift.) But our family just gave us ordinary little gifts that I confess I do not remember. |

| My favorite big birthday gift we did for my Dad’s 70th. He didn’t want a big party so we secretly sent out 70 pre-addressed stamped postcards in a letter to friends and family. The postcards had photos of him through the years on the front. We asked in the letter that people write a funny story, quote, memory, draw a picture, etc on the postcard and send them back in his birthday month. He loved it. Not only did he get a month of exciting mail, he made many phones calls to people as he got their cards. |

We don't know your brother. You need to share more. My brother really just enjoyed spending time together celebrating and didn't want gifts. i don't either.
My BIL is gourmet, loves Mediterranean food and really into health. We got him really expensive imported olive oil (that was found to have higher anti0inflammatory properties than the others), fancy avocado oil and expenses spices he was having trouble finding that was good quality like saffron. He still talks about that gift and has already finished the oils and purchased more. |
| I got my brother some fancy sneaks for his 50th birthday. Something he wouldn't buy himself, but he wears them a lot. |
