Schools Should Teach Cursive

I haven't met a single person in the last 30 years who makes an effort to make cursive legible.

One of mine was in third grade during Covid. That’s the year they teach cursive so she should have been doing at home. She did a little but not enough to matter. I hated writing in cursive and never used it after elementary school.

Parochial schools are notorious for not teaching math. I would rather my children learn math in school and cursive at home.


Ours has multiple math tracks, and their middle track (i.e., the average students) is about 1 year ahead of the local public schools, but thank you for playing. It also is academically rigorous in other subjects.

Yes, but they don't so get some workbooks and do it yourself.
