Why? Because it looks good. They are showing that all students get an opportunity for higher level work. Now, whether or not they are ready for it is a different story. |

Yes, it has been this way in middle school forever. I think the problem is whenever schools try to differentiate, then all the privileged parents start asking for their kid to be in the "advanced" class. Then the on-level class is just full of underprivileged students. Not a good look. |
It shouldn’t be based on who ask. This is where administrators need to have a backbone to tell parents no. |
