Would you recommend Wegmans cake for a kid's birthday?

And? I serve my kids’s favorite for their birthdays. Eat it… or don’t?

Wegmans cake are great. People always say Costco has good cakes, but I like Wegmans much better.

I serve what my kid loves for his birthday party. He chooses all chocolate for frosting and flavor even when i ask him if it is too much chocolate and would like the yellow cake with chocolate frosting. I dont know why the above PP is suggesting to only serve yellow cake. Go with what your son wishes.

Wegmans is good. If it is a big group or you want leftovers, Costco is a good value.

My 8 yo son picked that one. He loves it. I also brought it to a nye party and it was a big hit. I would get a pack of their cupcakes too in case any kid prefers that depending on how many you are hosting.

Kids til 12 years old like sheet cakes from any grocery store.

+1 the reason I prefer Wegmans cakes is that they’re not sickly sweet like Safeway etc.

This. Most 8 year olds won’t want chocolate.

Agreed. In my world, chocolate is always preferred. Yellow is a disappointment.

We got one this year when my kids asked for too many other baked goods for birthday breakfast and I couldn't make one from scratch. I wasn't impressed but they LOVED it.

We just had one - chocolate cake with buttercream, it was delicious. The chocolate with the chocolate ganache frosting might be too much.

we get a wegmans cake for every kid birthday party. Because it actually tastes good. I agree that the kids don’t really care but the parents do. I almost never accept a piece of cake at a kids birthday party because they are almost all not worth the calories. But a wegmans cake? especially if it’s marble with chocolate pudding filling and whipped cream frosting-always worth it.

Not for a kid party.
