I’m at the Awa Residences in Playacar (outside of Cancun adjacent to Playa Del Carmen. The pool here is incredible and easy to find beach chairs. Search for it on Airbnb and see what’s available for your dates. There isn’t a restaurant on site and the ones within the Playacar complex don’t look appealing from ten outside but it’s a quick taxi ride in and out of town (and a doable walk, about 30 minutes).

Well it does have a very nice pool. Be sure to spring for the private cabana to watch the sunset.

Do you like spa/wellness stuff? The Body Holiday on St Lucia was nice, although they don't have a huge pool.

The key is not to go during school breaks. And yes, the nicer resorts are where you can easily find chairs and generally have better food.

I crave a specific salad at Ritz Naples. Great seafood restaurants in Naples generally.
