I live near Oates St NE. I'd rename one of the cross streets Hall St, so I could say, "Meet me at Hall and Oates."

I had a relative who worked for State of MD as a land surveyor. They'd get in plans for new housing developments to approve. Once, the developer had not included names for all the streets.. so he named them.

Pookey Way because "pookie" was his nickname for his granddaughter, and I believe Birdie Lane because she liked birds.
