Gift ideas for older aunts/uncles

If someone has a subscription, "taking it over" and buying nit for them every year is a convenient gift.

No offense but most people (women) in this age group have preferences for certain lotions and they typically buy it themselves. And it's a rather impersonal gift - like what you'd get from an office grab-bag.

That’s all I have.

Flowers are nice and they eventually wither and can be thrown out. The rest take up space. I think I have at least 10 throws all gifted to me.

I don't understand throw blankets. They just seem to take up space and we don't use them.

Pp above with 10 throws. They are useful when you are sitting on a chair or couch and feel a little chilly. You really only need a few.

I get my family members a calendar sweepstakes (the ones where you can win a prize each month all year) for an organization we all hold dear. We also do a photo calendar of all the kids with family birthdates and anniversaries. It doesn’t take up much room and they love getting them. Lastly I send everyone breakfast English muffins from Wolfermans which is now a family tradition to have Christmas morning. Its nice to think we’re all doing it in our separate homes!

We gift a lunch out. We pick them up from home, take them to their favorite restaurant, and pay for the meal. They really just want time with us.

If you are far away it doesn’t work, but we are 2.5 hours so we make it a day trip with the kids and do one in January and one in february.
