How does any of that change the fact that he's at Manchester City enjoying a training spell with one of the top academies in the world right now? Something only a few young soccer players will ever do, but all would die for. |
Where did the PP say anything about an overseas move? |
It doesn't. Did you even read the whole post to include the part where I said "I hope he does well first himself, " or did you just want to have some righteous indignation this morning? |
Maybe you should have just kept it to that part. Instead of spraying cheap perfume on manure |
Meh. Go enjoy your dose of hopeium for someone else's kid while you wait for another post, which hurts your feelings but isn't wrong, to get worked up about. Enjoy your day madam or sir. |
Not really sure what you mean or how this post is toxic? |
I understand the transfer rules. Maybe a parent is moving over there for their kids. Wouldn't be the first time that's happened, there was a U15 DCUA kid that moved to Europe to play for a club. His parents relocated "for their job". |
Could be and props to them if they make that happen. And if a parent can make that happen for their kid, that is great and a way better position to be in to learn the game. |
Hmmm. I don't know. A real and genuine trial results in an offer to join the club if successful. Not even sure if that is actually possible in this case given FIFA rules and a club like city is super savvy. Training sessions at the club or at the grounds or with some academy staff are very different and motivations are different. If I had to gamble, I would say it is more likely the latter than the former. A legit trial at Man City, where they have intent to buy/transfer the player, is very hard to come by and usually not publicized. Especially not by the acquiring club because they don't want buzz to increase on the player and make competition stiffer. Clubs usually advise the player to lay low on social media in a legit transfer/trial situation. I don't doubt training sessions at the grounds of man city probably occurred. Whether it was an actual trial, I have doubts. Why Instagram is dangerous and easily susceptible to misinformation. But doing some training at man city is definitely a cool opportunity in any event. Hope things work out for him as a player and if he has overseas ambition that he can make those things happen. |
Whatever the official label or original intentions, its a trial. If the club likes what it sees, he'll be on their radar for the future. His information is now on file. |
