accessing myMCPS classroom as a parent--how on earth do people do this?

I'm glad I'm not the only one who has a terrible experience with parent view. It's trash. I think I finally just stole my kids log in and logged in as my kid to view their assignments

Have you tried accessing through Parent Vue and the MyMCPS classroom tab at the bottom of the home page? If you still don't see it after clicking that and then "access using brower," then it's possible you have pop up windows blocked as a general setting. In Safari, at least, you can get past that by looking in the URL window, where a little icon will appear on the right, indicating blocked pop up. Click that and you can see what was blocked, which is the access to MyMCPS classroom.

If the issue is that you can't even sign into ParentVue or have weird responses when you try to do that, then try deleting any cookies for edupoint and canvas, empty your caches, delete any related history, and then restart your browser and try again. Yes, it's an awfully designed program

Do you have any browser extensions that protect from scripts, third-party cookies, popups, etc.? If so, try disabling them (globally or for the tab you are using) or setting exceptions for all the domains served (i.e., md-mcps-psv.edupoint.com, mcpsmd.instructure.com, etc.).

Easiest way to do it. This is what I do and the kids know.

I'm getting this message on any browser I try - personal devices, work devices, etc. Anyone have any other tricks? Nothing is working for me. I log in as my kid to see grades but I can't update my parent volunteer training without my own account.

I get this message as well. I tried to do the apps instead and the Canvas app doesn’t work either, and choosing the app from parentvue just pulls instructions.

OP here-I suffered with this issue for most of last year, and finally on a different thread someone suggested to try this link directly through the Synergy website and for some reason I can access MCPS classroom through this. I'm sorry that MCPS tech platforms continue to be so problematic for parents.

Thanks, but this website link only gets me into parentvue. When I try for MCPS classroom it won’t load.

No joy trying Firefox or Chrome. The first time I tried Edge, I finally got in. This has been an issue for me for years.

I've tried all this too. Still can't get into MCPS classroom. The only thing that worked is logging in on my kid's laptop which shouldn't be what I need to do. MCPS tech sucks.

I also get an error message. I have to use my kid's laptop/login.

I often forget and go through a different link. It looks the same all the way through the process and I can see parentvue but it won't let me into Canvas. And then I remember, pull up this link, and it works. This is on a computer. I don't use the app, just browser (Chrome).
