What is your emergency plan if you have a medical emergency while traveling alone with kids out of the United States?

What would you do here? How old are the kids?

Solo parent to a 4 year old. We make sure to stay in higher-end hotels that would support us in an emergency.

My daughter had a medical emergency in Amsterdam and the hotel arranged care. But if it was me, most hotels at this level could arrange babysitter care through an affiliated service.

Also most European countries would assign a social worker to ensure the child is cared for in near-term. I also have friends and family who would fly out if a short-term situation became long-term.

So developed countries with a good social system + money + friends who would come in an emergency.

I do always travel with documents and if you have a known medical condition it may be good to wear something with your info like an emergency contact + ask the front desk to note an emergency contact on your reservation.
