To the non responders of birthday party invited

It's so rude. Usually it's the people with three kids who are just overwhelmed.

We lost a paper invite once. I don’t think it hurts to reach out again. Most people remind the day of.

We use paperless post so I can always see if the invite is opened. When parents open the invite and don’t respond, I don’t bother reminding them and mark them as ‘no’. This has only happened with parents of kids who aren’t really friends with dd but we just invited them bc they were in the class. If it was a real friends parent, I would assume they probably just forgot or lost track and would send a text to confirm one way or the other. But usually parents of my kids friends make more of an effort to rsvp promptly.

Yes - reach out. It's a polite fun way to shame the non responders.

"HI, I haven't heard back from you (impolite jerks), is Larlo able to attend Joe's birthday party? I need to plan."

Reach out directly - they may have missed the evite. OR it may have gone to spam folder. Happens all the time for me even though I've saved evite as a safe sender.
