Yeah, you don’t want to stay there. |
I don’t know if “the best Chinese restaurants” are in Chinatown, but they are really good. Far better than you can find most places in DC. At the end of the day, I love a good meal, but when I travel, I’m not on Yelp and other review sites, looking for the “best” so I can get validation from others. Strange way to live. |
I stayed there also recently and enjoyed it. The service was really great. And, yes, the bar is lovely. |
Have you been there recently? It was in a great location. Yes, walk three blocks south, and there are lots of homeless people. Don't walk down there, and it was completely fine. |
Hyatt Embarcadero. Close to things downtown, close to BART, ferry building, near water. |
I walk from Hayes Valley through Civic Center to downtown about once a week, so yes. Nob Hill proper is fine. The further downhill you go, the less fine it is. |
So then, stop spreading fear and hysteria. Or are you just trying to scare the tourists away? |
My goal is not to simply have Chinese food that’s only better than you can get in DC. My goal is to get the best the city has to offer. You went to Chinese restaurants full of tourists. It has nothing to do with validation, and everything to do with great food. |
