What's cool for middle school boys?

Definitely whatever was crowdsourced from DCUM peri-menopausal mommies, that's for sure.

I posted about the slime and Pokémon cards. I’d be more willing to spring for this if he hadn’t spent literally hundreds of dollars in birthday money and allowance on this already. Would love other ideas! 🙃

My 13 yr old DS will not wear clothes with logos. He isn’t trying to make some sort of statement. He just prefers plain.

In addition to the Nike/essentials shoes and clothes, my 12-14 yo. sons have enjoyed:
Tickets to sports games (professional and college), skiing, high ropes course
Gift card to a restaurant they wanted to try that we went out to as a family
Big box of fav snack food (this is surprisingly well received)
Fishing gear
Weighted blanket/other bedding
Oculus
board games (kid specific)
Cooking appliances (ice cream maker, deep fryer)
Pull up bar
Spikeball
Fancy toiletries (hair texturizer, body wash)
Fish tank

Ha, yes you have a point.

That said, most have given ideas based on what their own middle school boys seems to like.

I have a 13 year old boy. He asked for stuff for his room (led light strip, neon light, mini fridge, etc)..he also likes hoodies and likes. Oh and I think we are doing a gift card to the indoor sky diving place and 7-11.

I used to get my nephews a box of snacks from trader joes with some cash added in. That made them happy for several years in a row. Also specific video games.

Don't have teens or never been one, I assume?

Believe it or not there are kids who do have their own style.

Usually sports clothing is popular. Official Patriots football hoodie or MBL baseball shirt for Washington Nationals

Whatever he likes probably has something related to clothing.

New sneakers. Uniqlo shirts. Hoodie sweatshirts from Dicks. AirPods. A good iPhone with Apple Pay set up so he can pay for food just about anywhere. A nice meal at a local restaurant.

My MS and HS boys like a box of pan Asian snacks for Christmas. We do that every year.

DS has asked for wireless headphone, a huge lego set and v-bucks (Fortnite). We also got him some brain teaser puzzles, fishing stuff, ski gear and books. He really doesn't care about labels or brands yet for clothes so that hasn't creeped onto the list (yet!).

Asks so far or things I know he wants:
AirPods cover
Fun iPhone case
Yeezy slides (? Don’t know, instead of crocs)

Other ideas:
Sports gear
Video games
Retro concert t-shirts
Slipper Jordans
