How much does a dryer vent cleaning typically cost you?

Anonymous
Could you vacuum it or blow it out with a leaf blower? Also, cleaning the dryer vent every time I use it has really reduced the need to do anything else.

Zero. Do the leaf blower method or buy the brushes off Amazon.

Stacked dryers in closets make this considerably more difficult

Cool, but that's not possible in my home.

Anyone actually do this, and have a quote to share?

Why does it matter to you? Maybe her dryer vents to the top of a roof. Maybe the dryer is in a closet in an old house and there is too much duct to cover. Maybe she is afraid she will not be able to connect it back.

Stacked dryer in a closet. Do you have an easy way to do this with one person?

$125 Atlantic Duct
Not impressed. They didn't reattach dryer screen correctly until I told them even so it's still not perfect. Careless cowboys. Do not recommend.

Who can do this in Bethesda/Chevy Chase?

Depends on the run. If it goes up through attic and roof, it is more obviously. If it is a fragile design instead of metal tubing, that increases cost.

DIY is simplest way, costs about $20 for the brush and extensions that attach to a drill or manual powered. It's not difficult to swab out a pipe.

Yes, same. Stackable set is in a very very small space - I physically can't get behind the dryer to clean it out nor can I slide the whole thing out because of how the space is configured. Truthfully I don't see how it would be any easier for an HVAC company. How have people done this in the past?
