FOR NOW

That’s not changing anytime soon. The office that does SIPPI (GT) identification is different from the one that does magnet/CES selection. They are not in the same page.

The other office will of course look at that data and can see if they want to add this criteria to their selection process like they used to.

Now that testing is underway at most schools, can teachers or others in the know estimate when results may be shared?

Will they share results? If they do, it must be after winter break the earliest.

Anyone knows when is 3rd grade MAP testing for winter for reading and math for the decision of CES & compacted math?

Certainly not for this cycle. They have announced the criteria.

They have? Where did you see the CES criteria? The website still just says it will be announced in December.

Anyone know when we'll get the Cogat scores? I was hoping we'd get them before break, but that hasn't happened yet.
Anonymous
We won't get scores back till at least 6 weeks after the end of the testing window in January, at the earliest. Looking at hopefully right before spring break best case.

Is this just a guess, or what are you basing it on?

Any teachers or admin with info on when we can expect scores?

I don't know specifically about CogAT scores, but CES acceptance information typically comes out in mid-late March.

CES isn't tied to cogat scores

I was the one who posted about CES coming out in mid-March. I know CES isn't tied to CogAT, but so many parents seem to think it is, and that's why they want to know the scores. Really all they care about is the CES program. All the CogAT does is give your kid a "gifted" designation, which isn't really worth anything.
