I am impressed by all of you who work out at 5 AM, and also understanding why my gym's 5 AM classes always have a waitlist.

I get up at 5am to workout. It sucks, and I can’t do anything intense that early.
I’ve compromised on making myself a REALLY good protein iced coffee and doing yoga. It’s the only way I can get motivated to get out of bed that early. Another thing is I try to work outside of the house as much as possible. I’m WAY more productive when I set up at a coffeeshop. 5am-6:30am: wake up, get dressed, make coffee, do yoga 6:30-6:45: Put real clothes on and start makeup routine 6:45-7:30: wake up kids and get them ready 7:30-8:10: take older DC to school 8:10-9:00: do hair and makeup, spend time with 3yo, any chores/laundry/etc 9:00-4:30pm: work, often go to coffeeshop 4:30pm: pickup DC from school, get home by 5 to relieve nanny 5:15-6:30: older DC’s sport 6:30: I wish I cooked more but most dinners are takeout or crockpot. After that it’s get the kids wound down and to bed. When I’m on top of things at work, I actually can hit the gym 2-3 times a week. But my problems are 1. If I work at home I’m way less productive and 2. Anytime I start having regular chunks of free time in my schedule I take on another client. Then I spend the next 3 months complaining I never have any free time. |
