My adult kids love playing Taco, Cat, Goat, Cheese, Pizza. I know it's for a younger crowd, but they love getting into it and being ridiculous for a few rounds.

TIcket to Ride and Code Names. But you need at least four and ideally six for Code Names, which is challenging.

We want to like Catan, but it just takes forever and feels frustrating. Carcassone is okay (like easier Catan) but maybe too young?

Uno is great if you just want something fast for a limited period -- like while something is in the oven or while you're waiting for someone to get back from picking up food and you can start the movie.

We had a really fun board game we played in college -- each card had a theme, and each team had to sing a song with that theme, back and forth until a team got stumped. You had to know at least 5 words of the song to get credit (and duplicate words didn't count).

So if it was "Days of the week," it could go
"Goodbye, Ruby Tuesday, who could hang..."
"I don't care if Monday's black, Tuesday Wednesday heart attack..."
"On Monday, I never go to work, on Tuesday, I stay at home..."
"Saturday night's all right for fighting, get a little action in..."
"Just another manic Monday, wish it were Sunday..."
And then the next team maybe gets stumped and loses, and the other team gets the point.

It was a really funny game, especially when people messed up the lyrics and got challenged on it. Does anyone remember this game? I guess you could do it just by generating some themes like you do with charades.

We love Ticket to Ride, Catan and Risk (need a lot of time for those), Boggle, Yahtzee, Qwirkle, Sushi Go Party, Skipbo, and Set.

I'm going to check out Code Names! Haven't heard of that one!

I'd like to get some new items before Thanksgiving. Of course they have Cards Against Humanity, any new recommendations?

We're doing a Murder Mystery game with our two kid-dults for Thankgiving and again on Christmas .. Walmart, TJMaxx, Marshalls and HomeGoods and HomeSense has tons -- all for under $25 too.
