Yes - I can’t get guacamole at Chipotle anymore. It’s full of strings. I try picking them out but it’s the entire thing |

I agree with you OP, the avocados have gotten crappy lately. Avocados from Mexico taste much better to me than avocados from Peru, which are maybe a different variety? IDK. But my last few avocado bags have been stringy duds and the grocery store is packing fewer into the bag--it used to be 7 to a bag, now it's 5.

I have stopped buying them because they've been awful for the last six months or so.
I just buy smashed avocado cups at Costco. Much more reliable. |
| Aldi’s are never ripe enough to eat immediately, but if you plan ahead, they are m excellent when finally ripe. |
Yes!! It’s so odd. What’s goin on we need an investigation. I think I’ll just buy the smashed cups like another pp mentioned |
| MOMs (My Organic Market) - they are the most consistently good but often you can't eat day of because they are popular and usually quite ripe when you buy them - just and FYI, but so worth the wait! |
Thank you! I’ll have to try there. Never been! |

I think everywhere is hit or miss. We just bought some from Lidl and one was bad in the bag. A few days prior we had bought some from Trader Joe’s and two were bad in the bag.

| I only buy them at Costco, which typically has them from Mexico, and they are consistently good. I just got some at Costco from Peru, and they are horrible. I will be abstaining until the Mexican ones return to my Costco. |
i Also a daily avocado eater. I have a secret source. Few weeks ago bought 50 avocados from Amazon fresh. Those were great, still have 15 left. No brown inside at all. Looks perfect inside when ripe. Also got a great deal on them. |
| Mom’s organic in Mosaic. I buy the ones that are hard. They always ripen to a perfect delicious avocado. Just need to plan to let them ripen. |
