I would rent. Invest the money you would have used buying the RV. The investment returns pay your rent. You find something better, you move as you have few things.

Ate there utilities you can tap into or do you have to dig for a well and install septic?

I had friends that lived in an airstream, built a shipping container kitchen (they used a generator and had water), they also built a covered deck, and had a porta potty as a toilet.
