Yeah, that night was fun.

PP here, here's the thread for those who don't remember! https://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/1093062.page

The unfounded MAGA glee turning to worry, turning to tears, turning to denial, turning to "why did anyone think there was going to be a red wave, anyway, this is still bad for Biden" is delicious.

You can post whatever you want, but can’t we focus on election results 2024?

This whole thread is about a straw poll, so this doesn't have to do with election results 2024 either.

It’s a straw poll that is non-binding but indicates how the people of Guam would vote in the 2024 presidential election.

You think that isn’t pertinent to election 2024?

To what extent are Guam's straw polls predictive? If they were, we would've (thankfully!) been spared from Ronald Reagan and we'd currently be enjoying the last days of Hillary Clinton's second term.

I am not claiming they are predictive; I am simply making a thread with current and past results for Guam and the Dixville Notch results.

I haven’t claimed they are predictive.

If you aren’t interested, skip the thread.

If they are not predictive, why is there a need for a thread to discuss them? They're about as pertinent to the 2024 election as what you had for breakfast. But perhaps I missed that one.

If they are predictive, I'm all ears. Let's hear why. This should be good!

If you want the mod to remove the thread, go ahead and report it and ask him to do so.

I have better things to do than argue about these two results. If you think they are or aren’t predictive, great. I don’t know how to feel about them but thought we could at least acknowledge the results.

It truly is unbelievable. A convicted felon who incited an insurrection. Shocking, really!

Thats a problem we will have to deal with. However how do you deal with a Convicted Felon with nuclear code. If he wins, this could very well be last ballot we will cast. How do we deal with the cruel and hateful environment that he created for everyone in this country?

On the other hand, Harris represents positivity, compassion and tax cuts for middle class Americans. She has a plan to take care of elderly folks, lower prescription costs, child care and affordable education and jobs.

What are people voting for? Hate and Cruelty or Fairness and Compassion?

Anonymous
So if it is predictive in any way: people are voting for Trump and not writing him off completely, which it seems many in this thread thought was possible.

Yes, people are voting for KH, too, that’s expected. But apparently some thought Trump would get zero and in DN he got an equal amount of votes.

The straw poll, he seems to have done better than previously. That’s all I get from the results.
