If you switched swim clubs, why?

OP, hope the coaches are normal about it, but if they aren’t, then you know you made the right decision.

omg so many petty coaches and toxic parents in swimming!!!!!

my dd was a ballet dancer for years and years and as crazy as those parents were, swim was worse in Maryland!!!!!!

Similar situation. Another HS swimmer. Left club we were at since 8 years old. Coach was committed, but fellow swimmers not as committed. Club and old coach won’t speak to DC.

My swimmer is now in college and it seems very silly now, but at the time I was really pissed at how immature the coaches were to a child.

Toxic is not the right word. It is more like delusional with a mix of smelly desperation, and a splash of complete emotional immaturity.

Thanks. I’m annoyed, but not really pissed, by the coach and club.
It really does show their true colors. But I’m proud of DC for how they are handling it. They continue to say hi and acknowledge them, making DC look like the mature one. It’s a good life lesson/skill.
