Two days in Tokyo

You can get free English speaking tour guides all over Japan - I've done it in a bunch of places, and have really enjoyed the experience

For me - who speaks no Japanese - it was a nice way to get a local perspective and access to a bunch of things I wouldn't have seen or known about.

Wander around Senso-Ji (temple) in Asakusa. They also have a lot of vendors, and it's not far from the Tsukiji (old Tokyo seafood market--now touristy, but still worth a visit).

Ueno Park’s pretty nice, and if the weather drives you indoors while you’re there the national museum has a good collection.

Then drink coffee and people watch and read newspapers for a couple of hours. I would probably also go to Tokyo Tower for the view. And Ueno Park.

If you’ve never been then shut up

Do you like food, fashion, nature, history, art? Toyko is a massive city with excellent transit to nearby areas. It'll help to tell us what you want to explore.

Don't stay in the Financial District, on the weekend. I made that mistake. It was like a ghost town - sort of like how K Street use to be, on the weekend.
