interesting, my 82yo mom does this too and has dementia. I didn't think much of the shuffle, didn't attribute it to her dementia at all.

Looking back the early signs were issues with paying bills, falling for scams, strange financial decisions, losing items constantly , missing appointments and car accidents.

House was crazy hot when we visited and she was wearing a sweater...in the middle of summer.

Food was spiced to an almost inedible amount even though she was well know for her good cooking.

Repeating the same story every day with no memory of telling me
Needing repeated lessons with new computer and microwave - simply could not learn
