I have terrible feet. I wore sparkly Naturalizer sandals for my sister’s wedding. They had a heel, but also small platform, which kept my foot at a more comfortable angle. I got through most of the night before changing into flats.

Ha. I am the OP of the suede with a cocktail dress question and it is a sargasso and grey shoe I am thinking of. Nice to see someone suggesting a suede option here!
