100%, OP. Could have written this. I have a phobia of vomiting and probably related food safety paranoia about making myself or others sick. I take zero risks with raw meat, temperatures, sell by/expiration dates, amount of time leftovers are stored, etc. I scrutinize everything. My family thinks I am insane.
I can eat food other people make relatively okay, and can eat in restaurants. The funny thing is that I LOVE food. But sometimes I can’t stop thinking about whether the sushi is going to make me sick, etc. it consumes a lot of my day.
