Please recommend an assisted living facility in DC/MD that has a respite/temporary stay option

There is one adjacent to Sibley Hospital that does short term stays for people who aren't ready to go home yet. Might be an option.

Kindley Assisted Living on the Asbury campus in Gaithersburg has a respite option. My family member used it when they didn't need/qualify for skilled care/rehab but weren't able to be be on their own. After 2 months they returned to living alone with home health care for several hours a day.

It might be useful to have him stay near you for the month so you can assess his needs. My mother could hide a lot from us when we visited, but when we had her stay with us for a week - we saw just how little she could do. It hastened our conversations around what to do next.

I believe Brightview in Rockville has this option, space permitting. No personal experience beyond a tour. The facility seemed nice.

My dad was at Brightview and happy there. I was surprised as I didn't think he'd do well.
