For national merit, the cutoff varies by state.

My kid took it in Pittsburgh yesterday and said it was really easy.

There is a range of dates to administer the PSAT. Our school is this coming Tuesday. DD has been cramming for and just took the Oct SAT, so we are hoping that bumps her PSAT grade too since this is her NMSQT year.
