BU got 6,850 early decision applications in 2023. In 2016, there were only 3,300 early decision applicants.

People are getting sick of the games and holistic BS by so called elite schools.
High stat kids, especially those who are non-ALDC and don't have fancy ECs, are opting to go ED to these semi-elite/2nd tier schools.

+1
It's a great way to secure the spot since RD is a crapshoot.

So BU is easy to get into? A B average student with SAT of 1300 can get in?

The average GPA for accepted students for ED1 was 3.87.
Of the students accepted, 35% submitted standardized test scores. The average SAT score was 1454 and the average ACT score was 32.

I assume ED2 will be higher.

It's definitely better to go with ED for this school if you want to increase your chances of getting accepted.

The average GPA was 4.0, the average SAT score was 1497 and the average ACT score was 33 for the class of 2028. 57% of applicants submitted standardized test scores.
