My cousin’s friend’s son grew 6 inches when he was 20!

I’ll make it back when I get there |
Late puberty? |
Any sort of sport where you’re working that hard for that many hours would do it. Look at Dominique MoceanU in gymnastics. She was not even 5 feet at 14 and most girls are supposed to be done growing around then. When she stopped competitive gymnastics she shot up to 5’7. |
Mine probably grew about another inch or two by age 18. |
My son was 6’4” when stopped growing at 13. Hasn’t grown since. Husband same thing - though 5’9” was his final height. |
Kind of crazy your son is so tall when your husband is so short. |
That doesn’t make much sense to me because swimmers are tall. Many of them are anyway. |
Some, but not a ton. Maybe 3/4 of an inch. |
It has to do with when your son hits puberty. |
Some of the difference might be attributed to how much individual teens focus on nutrition, sleep, etc. If you’re not properly fueling your body for both the sport and growth, it seems plausible that the body hits pause on the growth. |
I think this poster is poking fun at these urban legends of boys growing huge amounts in college. Not happening for most of them but people trade these stories with great hope. |
Or more likely, it was a coincidence and if he had kept swimming, he would have grown anyway. |
Tanner himself said the stages should NOT be linked to ages- was never intent. |
She was starved and abused by her coaches and told she was fat all the time. She did not experience a normal puberty. |
