Her memoir was really good. She had a crazy mom - when Demi was 15 her mom accepted money from an acquaintance who wanted to be left alone with Demi. He obviously raped her.

Insane and I don’t know how somebody recovers from that.

After the peak of her fame, she seemed really to thrive in living a normal life in Idaho and have a great relationship with Bruce after the divorce, he lived next-door and they were raising the girls. I have no idea what happened with the Ashton Kutcher years. It’s like she went into a deep backslide. She fell for him, and then he convinced her she could start drinking again after years of sobriety. I mean, obviously she chose that, but he certainly didn’t help things and highly encouraged it. And then she went into a spiral. They also got pregnant and she lost the baby really late, like 20-24 weeks or something.

She seemed to turn her life around again after that. Though she’s definitely gone too far with plastic surgery etc. I really respect her and am excited about her new movie.

One of my early memories is her pregnant on the cover of a magazine. I think I saw it in the checkout line and it made an impression.
As for her acting work I’ve always found her incredibly boring. I tried to listen to the interview but once again found her boring.
Zero interest in watching the film.
