I don’t understand why dumb videos on social media are a reason to cancel your concerts. No one would care - everyone wanted to go to her show.

I’m telling you folks - she’s a big ol’ phony. She concocted some dumb “controversy” to try to weasel out of a low paying weekend gig she agreed to a year ago when she was still playing 1000 seat theaters. She somehow managed to play other recent events. And I bet she plays ACL next weekend where she’s getting PAID big money. She already told everyone Chappelle Roan is a “character.” All of this is inauthentic and tbh I’m starting to doubt if the drag and pro-LBGTQ thing is just facade and money grab.

You’re comparing an adult to two kids who were teens when they hit fame. Shouldn’t adults be able to adult in their late 20s?

Chappell started in the biz when she was 17. Taylor started at 15. Chappell may be 26 now but the support that was there or not there during her early years would have an impact. Again look at Beiber, Demi, etc.

But nobody heard of her until a few months ago. She’s not going to make it if this is how she acts the moment she becomes famous. Also her music kind of sucks. She sounds too much like someone from the 80s I can’t put my finger on. Every song she has I feel like I’ve heard it before. Nothing special.

She’s been building a fan base for at least the last few years. This year was her coming out party. Her segment at Lala drew the biggest crowds. It might seem overnight to you but it’s been years. 80s sound is making a comeback. I don’t care either way if you like her music or not. I agree she is not going to survive the industry bc she lacks emotional regulation. She goes off on photographers. And she’s nowhere the level of Harry or Taylor. If everything is a trigger she should not aim for stardom.

I think these comments are spot on. She went into fame with eyes WIDE open, and now she wants to be some kind of victim diva before she even earned that “title” and I use air quotes very purposefully. I can’t stand her. Like her music but hate her. I would never ever take my kid to her concert. She likes her music and hates her too, so it wouldn’t be an issue. She’ll be out of the limelight soon. She deserves it based on talent but she’s a crap human being.

I love her. I don’t care if she does your f$&ing concerts. If they’re that important to you, find something better to do with your time. Create something of your own. Concerts are fun and being a fan is fun, but if any of it is making you angry you need to get a grip.

I’m sure you’re the most dedicated superfan, but nobody else had really heard of her until recently. The fame has gone to her head and not in a good way.

And no, she’s no longer resonating with young audiences. So many young people have lost tons of money trying to see her in Amsterdam, London, Austin, and now DC and NYC. Young people don’t have the privilege to just not show up without any consequences. Somehow Roan is able to perform on the VMAs and recently booked high $$$$ shows.

Seriously those young people need to make more responsible financial decisions. Flying to Amsterdam for a concert is something you do with your f-you money, not what should have gone into your 401k. They can be disappointed but it makes no sense to be surprised - her career is exploding and she is constantly talking about how fragile her mental health is. Also if you’re a young person and you can’t have a good time in Amsterdam because your concert was canceled then there’s nothing chapel roan can do for you.

I’m sure if she cancels a show you get a refund (unless it’s a festival in which case I’m sure the ticket said something about lineups subject to change).
