1. Don't count on getting your boss' job in 5-10 years. I wouldn't even count on it if he were retiring in 12 months. Life is just unpredictable.
2. What is your support structure other than DH? Is grandma around to shuttle kids or stay home if they are sick and DH has a meeting? Sounds like he works. Is there a neighborhood kid BFF where she and DH split dropoffs to the same activity? What are your kids like? 3. What are the details on the one week in office? Can you leave Monday on an early flight and get back Friday afternoon? 4. Would you have to move across the country completely to climb any higher? |
