There have been U.S. scouts at my DD’s local ECNL club games watching the U14s. I do think the invite is by coach recommendation but there are scouts around here too. Saw one watching a U14 ECNL game two weekends ago.

| Curious, if player gets past ID and gets invited to the camp, is it all paid for or does it come out of parents pockets? Flights to camps/overseas, hotel, food, etc. |
There’s no transparency because this is US Scouts. They don’t need to be transparency. It could be from number of things and not just one. If you kids make it great, if not, it doesn’t mean they aren’t good players. This isnt everything. Relax. Tell your kids to keep grinding and let it be. |
DCUM doesn't allow links to TS, but are you talking about the one from a few years back involving DD and the alleged NTC conflict of interest? |
| They are 100% based on club coach recommendations. At this age there are simply too many kids for the scouts to actually see. The scouts make contact with the coached and they get recommendations. It will continue this way until college when the club favoritism no longer counts. |
Camps and expenses are paid for by the national team |
Especially as they get older - the national teams start to balk at these kids recommended by coaches and start to look at top teams |
U20's got worked by Korea last night. |

S. Korea u-20 > College Soccer
Thought I'd never see the day |
North Korea |
You mean better than US pros…….8 of the US U20s are playing for NWSL teams. What does that say about our system? |
| Thats going be hard for GI Joe's to digest |
I was joking around, but its looking bleeker now that you put it that way. Ouch Buzzkill |
| Well to be fair to our girls, they were not playing like their families lives depended on it. They did. It have that type of motivation. |
| They looked terrible the previous match too. Only won because Germany thought they had it in the bag and stopped playing. It really is super low level, uninspired soccer. |
