How will Dems save healthcare for women?

Anonymous
Donald Trump is an undercover Democrat who destroyed the Supreme Court to force all the states to turn Democratic to save women's health.

Democrats need to pass stronger laws so Trump's corrupt judges can't weasel-word away our rights.

So stay home and get back to us how that’s going.

If a Democrat controls the White House they can direct the executive branch agencies to adopt policies that protect those rights. They will appoint a Solicitor General who will argue against states like Texas taking away your privacy rights over your medical information: https://www.hipaajournal.com/texas-ag-sues-hhs-reproductive-healthcare-privacy-final-rule/

There's a lot more to the equation than just a federal law protecting the right to an abortion.

+1

It might take some time to fix the damage of the far-right crazies, but at a minimum, we can prevent them from doing more harm.

Yup. Rooting out the corruption would be a good place to start.

Democrats have had the WH, House and Senate several times since Roe was decided and could never get it through. They can't stop the states' bans without federal laws. Any rules or EOs put into place can easily be reversed. So what's really the plan?

In reality, it’ll have to be like cancer and gay marriage. People don’t talk about having an abortion. Even if the unthinkable happens late in a pregnancy, people will say they lost the baby and it’s so awful people don’t ask for details. And women and families should have that right to privacy.

But unfortunately the result is a stunning ignorance about the reality of pregnancy combined with urban myths about women using abortion as birth control.

I think that only changes when people understand it happens more frequently than they imagine. And I suppose Dobbs will bring that to light but what a terrible price for women and their families to pay.

I’m not sure what Democrats can do to guarantee abortion. It was always up to the states and red states always restricted it

Literally nothing in the post is true.

And yet you don’t post what isnt true.

Abortion rules in Washington DC and Utah were never the same ever

A PP already told you. A Democratic House and Senate can pass legislation federally codifying Roe and a Democratic President will sign that legislation. For like the 50th time, I will again say that Dobbs did not “send abortion back to the states,” it left the issue up to “the people and their representatives,” which includes Congress.

Democrats have held the presidency House and Senate multiple times and have done nothing to codify roe-in-law.... And now here we are and while yes I blame the Republicans 100%. I don't understand how Democrats are going to do a damn thing to fix it at all........ I don't know how many women need to die before something will be done

Democrats had slim majorities in the Senate that included wildcards like Manchin, Sinema, Lieberman, et al. who held bills progressive bills hostage. Don’t focus only on the President. We need more Democratic Senators and Representatives and Governors.

Thats the point. We've had democrats rule all three and still didn't get it done. So again. What's the plan? This time will miraculously be different? Once Manchin leaves you can guarantee a republican replacement.

Until you eliminate the filibuster, nothing happens, moron. It's hard to convince 60 Senators of anything especially those that don't act in good faith.

You are being intentionally dense. The plan is to prioritize the issue, push Congress to act, mobilize supporters, persuade voters to replace Republican obstructionists. It takes a national strategy to make national policy. Stop whining and start helping if it’s important to you.
