Does anyone have rankings for boarding schools?

I've seen these same lists for the past couple of years...and the acronyms (GLADCHEMS or HADES+Choate, aka CHASED...Choate, Hotchkiss, Andover, St Paul's, Exeter, and Deerfield). The matriculation data someone provided was helpful too, although outdated now.

Aren't there any good boarding schools closer than New England? My DD wants to look at a couple but these are so far away!

Foxcroft in Va
Episcopal in Alexandria

I think there are a couple near Baltimore.

If you do a google search you should be able to find a list of all boarding schools by state.

Aiglon college in Switzerland is way better than Le Rosey. But I may be biased as I'm an Aiglon college alumni

Saint Andrew's School (SAS) in Delaware is as good as any of the top New England boarding schools in terms of academics, and in terms of the boarding school experience, it has probably better facilities than most New England boarding schools. it sits on 2200 acres with it's own private lake. It's building are classic in every scene and have been featured in American popular culture more than most New England boarding school. It is a classic institution.

Prepreview.com has a very comprehensive and insightful ranking for both Private and Boarding Schools; the downside is that you have to pay for the rankings, for about 40 bucks each, and it only displays the top 30 schools based on college matriculation rates. Interestingly, NCS is ranked 14th, Maret 26th out of all day schools, Georgetown Prep 25th and STA 7th out of all boarding schools.

MatriculationStats wrote:Although it only addresses college matriculation statistics, my website (which has been commented on around here for day schools) does have a page devoted to boarding schools. I don't claim that it's exhaustive, but it does include all the "big names". http://matriculationstats.org/boarding-school-stats

You might want to consider adding Rivers in Weston, MA. They used to be ho-hum but now send lots of kids to top colleges.
