If you are not prone to migraines, I would not wait to see a doctor, even if that means going to the ER. |

Took it for acne and it did absolutely nothing.
Stopped taking it as a result |
| I don’t think physicians share the very rare side effects that would not be on the “common” list on pharmacy paperwork. That would be counterproductive and would frighten people away from taking necessary medication. But people should always do their own research when it comes to any new medication. |
| I took it for ten days for cellulitis in my leg, it worked for that (after Keflex did not) and did not make me experience what you are talking about but it sure gave me serious diarrhea that was hard to resolve even after I stopped taking it. |
| I’m on it for migraines. It can cause those issues but rare. Call your doctor asap. |
| Doxycycline made me extremely energized, almost euphoric. Was highly productive but couldn’t sleep! |
Doxycycline can treat migraine? |
| My son took it for 3 months. It cleared his acne and he had zero issues. He was 17 at the time. |
Yes, there was one small study. I take it on and off till the side effects get to me. It’s not a cure by any means but takes a drop of the edge off. I’ve tried most everything. It’s not a typical use. |
|
That's weird and I don't believe you. Blame the medication for being cray cray.
Side effects on the label are everything seen in clinical trial it in no way means the drug causes the side effect. Correlation doesn't equal causation. |
Interesting. I’ve tried most everything too which is why I asked. Are you at the Gtown headache Center by chance? |
No, Medstar. It’s worth trying but it does a number on my stomach. It slightly takes the edge off things. |
Thanks, appreciate it. |
| I took it for years to treat rosacea and had no ill effects. |
| my 14 year old is on it currently for the last 2 months for a skin infection. Now I'm terrified and considering having her stop after reading all this! |
