8 year old and 10 year old home alone for 1.5 hours?

I started leaving my kid alone at 8 for 20 mins and by 10 was doing 2 hours occasionally. Not on a daily, or even weekly basis, so yes I would.
We have a dog though which gave some level of comfort and nice neighbors we could reach out to if need be.

I've done it occasionally but I have a serious discussion with them beforehand in terms of what I expect and how they should behave. A little fear of God can be a good thing.

That is entirely dependent on their maturity level. Nobody can make that determination except you.

Totally kid dependent. I’d let my 10yo take a solo trip to Europe, my 8yo can barely be trusted to walk to the mailbox alone (we’re working on it).

Yes as long as they are ok with it. My older one doesn't love being home alone
