HK: Star Ferry. Take the funicular and do the easy hike around the Peak -- spectacular views. Eat dim sum. Walk around Hollywood Road for art galleries and antiques. Walk through the aviary in Hong Kong Park. Go up the Central Mid-levels Escalator like in Chungking Express (watch the movie before you go). Walk around Peel St and Mid-Levels at night, it's evocative and atmospheric. Hong Kong is the best, one of the great walking cities of the world.

I always shop in Asia. Seriously. Consider it - my daughters hate shopping here but in Asia it's a whole difft universe!

I have been to both countries and travelled a lot globally. Business trips are difft. I do not go with a tourist mindset when on business unless I actually have set a specific day for being a tourist. Even then I try to relax. In places like Singapore and HK - my advice is to just shop and eat!

That singular experience of being in these cities is going to feel great and different. Food is awesome, shopping is actually fun. The shopping in US cannot be more boring I swear to God v shopping in many foreign countries.

Jet lag is ALWAYS worse returning from Asia FYI. Just don't be shocked if it takes a bit to reset back home. This is not just you
