I’ve seen only one worse environment—where the coach’s behavior rubbed off on the girls & they yelled at each other on the pitch.

I have seen some of the same.

I found myself extending a common courtesy to the director (like holding the door open for the person behind you) and she made no acknowledgment of my presence at all. It was something even a 10 year old would know to acknowledge with a thank you. This was in front of her players. It left me thinking how glad I was not to have signed my daughter up to play with her. Just too many negatives imo.

+1. I had a very similar interaction with her. It’s not what you would expect from a normal adult.

Ok, so don't go to Husel b/c she didn't say thank you. Weird.

I think she’s a bit odd too. I’m a parent, my kid played for another club and she created and odd rumour about me.

Where did the coaches go who left? Are they at other programs?

Ok….they still have the train wreck of a director

Not sure why you're obsessed with her. Literally, every club has a "train wreck" and/or other significant problems. Look at the field hockey club thread and you see it in black and white. And seeing how non-local teams operate (through travel, through friends on teams out of the area, talking to coaches), I can confidently say it is literally elsewhere. You pick your poison as to what you can stand, etc. If Husel isn't for you, move on. But doesn't sound like you're in that club so you may also understand you don't know what you think you know.

I think the coach list is odd the way she only uses the first name of the younger coaches. (Aka Coach Rachel).

It seems that’s to protect their privacy? Or to make it more difficult to look at the college athletic bios? Or LinkedIn?

Is there anyone left at Husel? Are they going to have a team?

It’s definitely imploding, lots of kids are leaving.

Now is the time to leave if lots of people are leaving, it will be harder for the owner to sabotage players with college coaches as she is known to do. Don’t walk, run for the door
