will ozempic make me stop drinking?

Anonymous
No, but it has reduced my food appetite.

It might. Many are reporting lack of interest in things they were problematically dependent on. A couple of days into Wegovy I forgot my morning coffee and haven’t had it since. But I wouldn’t count on Wegovy to fix it if you have a problem.

I have had zero nausea and have lost 24 pounds in 14 weeks.

Umm, yes it does. Go review the studies or message boards where people all discuss this happening. You are uninformed

It’s important, even if you’re taking ozempic or other weight loss meds, to remember you’re still responsible for what you eat and drink.

Ozempic totally does that though: It makes you stop eating. I am a major emotional eater, absolutely cannot "make myself stop eating" when stressed out. With Ozempic? It was like my brain was swapped with the brain of a thin person with no cravings and impulses. It is part of why it works so well.

OP here. I had a few glasses of red wine last night at a celebration. I felt perfectly fine however when it was time to eat I couldn't even think about taking a bite. So i figured had finally kicked in. Slept horribly with stomach pain and nausea. forced myself to go for a jog and movement felt a little better. I've only been able to eat a small piece of chicken and small piece of turkey.

Is this normal?

Ozempic has affected even my coffee drinking. I think maybe it just reduces your need for all kinds of stimulants. I have no desire to drink, no desire for sweets, no desire for coffee, and I have finally begun to stop biting my nails. Miracle drug indeed.

This is similar to my experience. I don’t really feel different when I’m drinking but if I have more than 1 or 2 drinks I’m in for a miserable night.
