Blinken was shopping at Macy's at the time and not harmed. This was 15 minutes after an armed carjack from DC ended up at the Pentagon right next to the 9/11 memorial.

What has become of Arlington?

This has sadly become the norm....but hey....crime is down they say.

It was worse in the 90s.

Nope. I was here then. Pentagon City was much safer back then.

He’s part of the party that fuels this activity. He should endure it.

Yep, 100%.

They can’t help it, they’re captured.

Why in the world was he shopping at that gross Macy's? He's super rich.

On the rare occasion any criminal is caught stealing from a business in Pentagon or carjacking in the area, the person is from DC or Maryland. The Arlington cops follow a "stop at the bridge" mandate unless there is a kid or two in the car jacked car and then they might pursue in to the city. The smash and grabbers are general DC youth who jumped the Metro fare gates to make their way to Pentagon City. When the Silver Line opened at Tysons, the same thing started to happen. You will see very difference merchandise now at even the Nordstrom in Tysons. Tons of high end sneakers and LV gear for the baby mommas.

Ha! Conservatives who have spent two decades drinking endlessly from the Fox News fire hose talking about being captured and peddling talking points.

Blinken must have flown in to National and had to grab some clean undies and shirts at Macy's. He lives much closer to Tysons and would probably have gone their if he did have to get back on a plane.

Many people from DC and PG County shop at the Nordstrom at Pentagon City and now at Tysons I. Nordstrom is providing the merchandise their customer base wants. Sounds like you haven't been in either Nordstrom lately.

I don't really see how the presence of the Secretary of State at a mall when the mall is robbed makes the robbery any more or less alarming — especially since he was unharmed, who cares that he was there? The robbery is bad enough, period, doesn't really matter where Tony Blinken was.

He had better security than anyone there. Men with machineguns surrounding them. The rest of the public is SOL.

Right but if I were at a store that was getting robbed, I wouldn't really care if someone more important than I was was also there.
