I always hated this as well, but could never quite explain why. This seems to hit the nail on the head. I find the people that do this are also the ones who post dozens of "look at me" photos on social media, or brag about every single minor career event on LinkedIn.

My other pet peeve is anonymous posts on FB. for even the most innocuous topics. If you aren’t attaching your name to it, why would anyone else?
